National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade

Loacted in Tucson, the National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade maintains a strong affiliation with the University of Arizona. The Center works with developing countries and communities to help micro and small businesses thrive through increased access to credit, and acts to encourage investment by creating institutions that protect the rights of all parties. These programs include not only the practical training of professionals, business owners and students in various areas of law but also include the facilitation of programs that bring global perspectives to Arizona.

The Center works in the areas of:

  • Commercial law reform and best business and trade practices
  • Access to credit for businesses of all sizes
  • Promotion of alternative dispute resolution
  • Capacity-building programs that encourage training and education
  • The NatLaw World Legal Database

Arizona Law students can become involved in the Center's many projects, gaining valuable experience in international trade and business law.
