Though raised in Nevada, Cathleen Ward is the product of two Arizona-raised parents. She obtained a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in Music from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2011. She moved to Tucson in 2013 to attend law school and graduated with her J.D. from the James E. Rogers College of Law in 2016. Following graduation Cat was a law clerk to Judges Tang and Bostwick on the criminal and family law benches of the Pima Superior Court. Before returning to the College of Law in 2022, she spent 5 years as a Public Defender in Pima County representing indigent individuals charged with felonies with a focus in mental health. She is currently completing prerequisite courses to pursue a PhD in Psychology. In her spare time, she teaches Zumba, plays golf, and hangs out with her terrier-mix Hanna.
