Phuong Thang

Director, Financial Planning and Decision Support

Phuong Thang is the Director, Financial Planning and Decision Support at the James E. Rogers College of Law, and provides strategic leadership, oversight, and direction to the College’s Finance Office.

Phuong is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, financial forecasting, planning and analysis, auditing, and internal controls.  Most recently, Phuong was responsible for overseeing the external financial reporting processes for a global medical device manufacturer, as well as for the budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis cycle of its global general & administrative function.  Prior to that, Phuong served as the Finance & Operations Manager of a startup technology firm where she was responsible for all finance- and operations-related matters. Phuong also worked at several of the big four accounting firms and is a certified public accountant.

Phuong earned her undergraduate degree from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and her Master of Science in Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
