PCLP: Wednesday, March 1, 2017; Jill Wine-Banks: "Watergate
Revisited: The Role of Lawyers"

The
Watergate scandal remains one of the darkest moments in the history of this
nation’s legal profession. Most of the conspiracy’s major participants were
lawyers, or had law degrees, including  President Nixon, Attorney General
Mitchell, John Erlichman, Charles Colson, John Dean, Bud Krogh, and more than a
dozen others. Still, after almost 45 years, one wonders how much we really have
learned the lessons of Watergate; that blind loyalty should never take priority
over personal integrity, that the cover-up often is worse than the initial
crime, and that no one is above the law, even the President.

Please join us in Room 168, and as always, pizza will be served at
noon.
