Regulatory Science Series Panel: FDA's Approach to the Opioid Epidemic

Please join us for lunch on October 20, from 11:00 –1:00 p.m., for a special panel hosted by the UA Regulatory Science Program on the FDA’s Approach to the Opioid Epidemic. Dr. Scott Winiecki, Team Lead for the Safe Use Initiative for the FDA, will discuss the opioid epidemic, what measures the FDA has taken in response to it, and what plans the FDA has in the future. Dr. Douglas Throckmorton, Deputy Director for Regulatory Programs for the FDA, will be joining in to answer further questions about the FDA and its approaches to the opioid epidemic. The speaker will be live in Phoenix at the UA College of Medicine Campus in the T-Health Amphitheater (Rm. 2306)(600 E.
