LOCATION: College of Nursing 470 (1305 N. Martin Ave.) and T-Health Conference Room (UA College of Medicine Phoenix Campus)
Join us for a two-hour presentation by Dr. Elizabeth Calhoun and Professor Rebecca Tsosie on the ethics involved in researching vulnerable populations, particularly indigenous peoples. Professor Tsosie has an extensive background in federal Indian law and the human rights of indigenous peoples, and Dr. Calhoun is the Associate Vice President for Population Health Science and also the Executive Director of the Center for Population Science and Discovery at the University of Arizona Health Sciences. Together, they will describe the various risks and disparities involved in research with indigenous populations as related to health, and offer insight into addressing these issues.
