The Iqbal Pleading Standard and the Future of Civil Rights Litigation

Join ACS and Cardozo School of Law Professor Alexander Reinert for a discussion on his experience as counsel to Mr. Javaid Iqbal during the litigation that became Ashcroft v. Iqbal, the case that along with Bell Atlantic Corp. v. Twombly, announced the plausibility standard of pleading in civil cases. He will also talk about the research he has done in the aftermath of the landmark case, exploring how we measure the impact of Iqbal and recent cases that have been significantly impacted by the Iqbal standard.
