International Economic Law and Policy

The dynamics of trade and business in the international environment are profoundly changed.

Implementation of the World Trade Organization Agreements, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the "Mercosur" common market, the negotiations aimed at the establishment of a "Free Trade Area of the Americas," and conclusion of many regional trade agreements by the United States and other nations have produced a complex web of international agreements, rules, regulations, and international decisions by courts and arbitrators.

Arizona Law's longstanding expertise in this arena gives students the chance to learn from -- and with -- faculty whose work produces a real impact all over the world. A broad-based curriculum focuses on international agreements in the areas of trade, commercial law, and investment, as well as the conplex and nuanced factors that propel business decisions.
