Career Counselor Matt Lehrer advises Arizona Law’s third year students. Matt utilizes his prior career experience to assist JD and LLM students with navigating the job search process. Prior to joining Arizona Law, Matt was a Career Counselor at the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. Before entering the career counseling field, Matt worked in the Nonprofit Sector, raising over $50,000,000 for nonprofit organizations over the course of his career with community foundations, and as a consultant. He also cultivated relationships with and developed professional education programs for attorneys, CPAs and other financial and business professionals. Matt’s legal career culminated in working with the prestigious Tucson firm of Leonard, Felker, Allfeld and Battaile, PC, representing clients in real estate and business transactions, and in the litigation of real estate, insurance and complex commercial matters. He received his JD from the University of San Diego in 1987. Matt graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1984. Matt co-authhored “Legacies for Libraries, a Practical Guide to Planned Giving,” published by the American Library Association, in 2000.
