Dimensions of Dairy and Law: Justice for Humans, Animals, and the Environment

When

Room: MAIN 237
Time: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Join us for a lunchtime panel featuring scholars from a dazzling array of fields from agricultural economics, law and development, and international business and trade, to property and environment law, and gender and animal studies. The panel will discuss the impact of climate change, globalization, and mechanization on the livelihoods of dairy farmers and consumers, the wellbeing of dairy animals, and the health of entire ecologies. Recognizing the intense moral, socioeconomic, and environmental conflicts in dairying, the panel aims to seek common ground on which to build a responsive institutional architecture to address such conflicts. This event is open to all interested parties. Please contact Xiaoqian Hu at 621-1055 or xiaoqianhu@arizona.edu if you would like to attend.
