Please join PCLP and ILSA as we welcome Kari Hong, Appellate Attorney at the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project. Kari is an expert in immigration consequences of criminal convictions and specializes in representing individuals on appeal before the Ninth Circuit. She has argued dozens of appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals and represented more than 50 people in state and federal criminal court appeals while the Ninth Circuit has issued decisions on more than 100 of her cases. Kari will be speaking on the implications and issues regarding why the U.S. should not deport those with criminal convictions. Kari will be appearing virtually via zoom, however, PCLP and ILSA will be providing a room to gather on campus to watch the presentation and provide lunch.
