Bob Mundheim will welcome Simon M. Lorne as the second speaker in the Conversation Speaker Series for this year.

About Simon M. Lorne

Simon Lorne serves as the vice chairman and chief legal officer at Millennium Management, LLC, overseeing its compliance, legal, regulatory, and internal audit functions. Previously, Mr. Lorne served as a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson. In 1996, he became a managing director at Salomon Brothers, where he served as global head of Internal Audit. He is a member of the American Law Institute and serves as an Adviser to the Restatement of the Law of Corporate Governance. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Lorne was the general counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He is an independent director of Teledyne Technologies Inc., and Chairman of the Alternative Investment Management Association.

About Bob Mundheim

Robert (Bob) Mundheim is Professor of Corporate Law & Finance at the James E. Rogers College of Law. He previously served as Dean and University Professor of Law and Finance at the University of Pennsylvania Law School; General Counsel at the U.S. Treasury Department; Special Counsel to the Securities and Exchange Commission; and Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Salomon Inc. He is a founding Trustee of the American College of Governance Counsel and is a Director of Gogo, Inc. Professor Mundheim chaired the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, and served on the Council of the American Law Institute for nearly 30 years. He serves as an Adviser to the Restatement of the Law of Corporate Governance. He is Of Counsel to the firm of Shearman & Sterling LLP.
