Please join Health Law Society, the American Constitution Society (ACS), the Family and Juvenile Law Association (FLJA), and If/When/How for our Abortion Law Panel. We will first welcome Professor Eunice Lee to discuss some of the interesting procedural aspects of Texas SB 8, which authorizes a private right of action against abortion providers. Next we will welcome Sarah Malanga and Jessica Graves, two alumni attorneys who work closely with matters of family planning and reproductive justice. Sarah is the founder of Bit by Little Bit, LLC and works as a postpartum doula and parent educator in Boston. Jessica runs her own adoption practice where she has assisted in over 1000 adoptions for Arizona families. They will speak on the constitutional issues raised in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, a case in front of the supreme court that challenges the constitutionality of a Mississippi law prohibiting abortions after 15 weeks. This discussion will be moderated by Professor Barbra Atwood AND will be held in Room 164 from 12-1:15 on Monday (3/21). The panel will also be accessible on zoom using this link. We hope to see you all there. For more information, please contact Hayley Michel (hayleymichel@arizona.edu)
