"As we embark on our transformative journey with the Fuel Wonder capital campaign, our vision is clear: to be the most affordable, accessible source for legal education in the country.”
University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins officially launched the University’s Fuel Wonder campaign Friday morning during a press conference along with University of Arizona Foundation President and CEO JP Roczniak.
Fuel Wonder is the University’s most ambitious fundraising campaign to date with an overall goal of raising $3 billion for the students, faculty, and programs that make up the university ecosystem. The campaign aims to empower key priorities and initiatives outlined in the university’s strategic plan and calls upon the Wildcat community to make gifts that support diverse communities and projects all across the university and its colleges and units. Put simply, the campaign will push innovation forward and transform the university’s educational experience with the help of Wildcat philanthropy.
As part of the campaign, the James E. Rogers College of Law has established its own goals to launch new projects, provide students with unprecedented levels of support, and amplify programs that make a meaningful impact in our communities. In that effort, college leadership has identified three priorities that align with the university’s campaign including establishing five new endowed faculty chairs; raising $5 million in new gifts supporting student success through scholarships, fellowships, and program support; and investing $8 million in the A-Rated Thomas A. Mauet Advocacy Program through a total reconstruction of our two practice courtrooms inside the college as well as establishing a new endowed professorship in advocacy and creating an endowment to support student experiential advocacy activities.
"As we embark on our transformative journey with the Fuel Wonder campaign, our vision is clear: to be the most affordable, accessible source for excellent legal education in the country, and to do research and policy work that makes for a just and thriving world. At the heart of this ambitious endeavor lies our commitment to empower future generations of legal professionals,” said University of Arizona Law Dean Marc L. Miller. “To achieve this goal, we need unwavering support from our community. Together, we can build a brighter future where opportunities in legal education are within reach for all. Join us in making legal dreams come true."
"Our college is dedicated to our shared vision of democratizing legal education. The Fuel Wonder campaign is our beacon of hope, and it is an invitation to our community to be the driving force behind this transformation,” said Megan O’Leary, senior director of development at the college. “There are dozens of current programs that can be supported with your philanthropy, or you can connect with the Development office to explore ways to create a new scholarship or program fund. Every gift to any program or fund counts toward our goal.”
Your reasons for giving are unique, and your vehicles for doing so can be as well. Options include multi-year pledges, planned gifts, employer matching gifts, gifts of securities and retirement funds, and endowments.
