Please join PCLP in welcoming Professor Paul Charlton. Professor Charlton served as the United States Attorney for the District of Arizona from 2001-2007. He is currently a partner at Dentons law firm in Phoenix where he is a member of the White Collar and Government Investigations Practice. He is also a part-time Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona College of Law where he teaches a class on prosecutorial ethics. Professor Charlton is going to be discussing his career as a prosecutor and the ethical decisions he was faced with. He will also discuss the ethical conundrums that prosecutors face on a daily basis that have major impacts on the lives of individuals in the criminal justice system and society as a whole. Specifically, he will be discussing what factors are involved in those decisions and how to weigh them against each other. He will also be highlighting some important ethical decisions made by prosecutors during different periods in American history and the ramifications of those decisions.
