Harriet Bernick

Hon Harriet M. Bernick is a Maricopa County Superior Court Commissioner who currently handles juvenile matters. She has been a commissioner for over six years. She has been assigned to the juvenile, criminal, and family court divisions. Before being appointed, Commissioner Bernick practiced law in both criminal and civil arena for twenty- eight years. She was previously employed with the United States Attorney’s Office, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and the State Bar of Arizona. She went to University of Arizona for her undergraduate and law school education. Commissioner Bernick has been teaching family law for the University of Arizona College of Law for approximately three years. 

Fun Facts: Commissioner Bernick met her husband while attending the University of Arizona College of Law. They were in Professor Ratner’s contracts small section. Commissioner Bernick’s children, Eli and Jeremy, both attended University of Arizona for their undergraduate education. Jeremy Bernick is currently a third- year law student at University of Arizona College of Law. Commissioner Bernick’s university email address is the same one she used when she attended University of Arizona College of Law. Go Cats!
