Spring 2021 Mail Procedures
Dear Colleagues,
This note is a reminder of the current College of Law mail procedures we have instituted in light of COVID-related reduced staffing levels in the Law Library and reduced business at the College of Law.
For the health and safety of our staff, and in accordance with University and College of Law policy, please do not have personal mail or packages sent to the College of Law.
Incoming Mail Schedule
During the spring semester, the law library is receiving mail on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the UA Mail Hub. When mail is delivered to the College of Law, it is deposited in a locked quarantine / sorting room in the Law Library where it will remain for up to 4 work days. After quarantine and preliminarily sorting, the mail is delivered to the second floor mailroom where our faculty services team sorts into faculty and staff mailboxes.
Mailboxes
All College of Law mailboxes, except for library staff, are located in the second floor mailroom. This includes any mailboxes that were formerly located in the law library’s Technical Services area.
Incoming Packages
Since the Law Library will not be fully staffed and, therefore, unable to accept UPS and FedEx deliveries at the loading dock, incoming packages should be addressed to the College of Law, [name of unit or person], 3740 E. 34th St., Tucson, AZ 85713 so that they are delivered to the central UA Mail Hub.
Since the Law Library will not be available to accept packages daily, please make your own arrangements for time-sensitive deliveries accordingly.
Loading Dock Door
The loading dock door is no longer Catcard accessible to faculty and staff in order to reduce foot traffic through the library staff areas.
Outgoing Mail
In conjunction with Tuesday/Thursday mail drop-offs, outgoing mail will be collected by Mail Hub personnel on Tuesday/Thursday mornings. There is an outgoing mailbox in the 2nd floor mailroom.
Outgoing Packages
There are no longer routine UPS or FedEx pickups. When you have an outgoing package, please call UPS or FedEx to schedule a pick up; or drop off the package at a designated location on or off campus.
Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions.
