On 09 Nov 1989 East Germany allowed its citizens to travel to the West, effectively lifting the Iron Curtain. Most photos documenting this event and its precursors come, unsurprisingly, from the East's wall surrounding West Berlin. Less common are photos from the Fulda Gap, around which this presentation is based.
