The University of Arizona Summer Law Camp 2026 offers an engaging, hands-on introduction to the legal field for motivated high school students, combining interactive workshops, mock trials and mentorship from experienced law faculty and professionals. Participants will explore topics such as constitutional law, criminal justice and legal advocacy while building critical thinking, public speaking and debate skills. A court tour and mock trial activities are part of the program, as well. 

Whether you’re considering a future in law or simply curious about how the legal system works, this program provides an inspiring and practical foundation.  

The Summer Law Camp is free.  Lunch and snacks will be provided. 

Enrollment is limited to 30 high school students. Students must be currently enrolled in either 9th, 10th or 11th grade. Acceptance upon approval.

Note: You must complete and submit all three forms to law-summercamp@arizona.edu. If participant will be driving themselves to camp, see Parking and Transportation information below and complete and submit the Self Transport form as well.
 

Camp Schedule Details

The event will be held at the James E. Rogers College of Law, 1201 E. Speedway Blvd. on May 26, 27, and 28. Students will check in at the law school by 8:30 a.m., except for the day they are assigned a Superior Court Tour. On the day they are assigned a tour, they will check in at the Superior Court 110 W. Congress Street at 8 am.

The Superior Court Tour is optional and only available to students ages 16 and older. Please be advised that court proceedings may involve sensitive topics, including criminal activity, violence, sex, domestic disputes, or other mature content. Parents should consider whether such subject matter is appropriate for their child and prepare accordingly. Students not attending the court tour will meet at the College of Law at noon on May 27.  

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the College of Law or the Superior Court. 

Lunch will be provided. Please let us know if you have specific dietary needs and we will do our best to accommodate them. You are welcome to bring your own lunch if you prefer.
