Please join PCLP in welcoming Sergeant Jack Julsing of Tucson Police Department's Homeless Outreach Team. The team is a unit that specializes in removing barriers between those experiencing homelessness and the resources available to them. They also focus on educating the public and changing their perception about the issues surrounding homelessness such as mental health, substance abuse, and economic inequalities. The presentation will provide insight into their goal of providing stability for people experiencing homelessness and eventually assisting them in finding permanent residences, the organizations they closely work with and the obstacles they face along the way.
