Karen M. Kowalski

Associate Dean for Administration & Chief of Staff

Karen M. Kowalski is the Associate Dean for Administration & Chief of Staff at the James E. Rogers College of Law. Since joining the College of Law in 2013 as assistant dean for career development, Karen has transformed the office using analytical, results-oriented metrics. Her accomplishments include reporting the college's highest overall employment rate and lowest overall unemployment rate in memory.

Before joining the college, Dean Kowalski practiced tax law as a partner at the international law firm of Winston & Strawn in Chicago and served as managing director at Major, Lindsey & Africa, the leading global legal search firm. She holds an LLM in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and a JD from DePaul University College of Law.
