OUC to UA Pathways FAQs

You will pay tuition for your UA courses directly to UA, using an online link that will be provided to you shortly!

UA will not collect any tuition from OUC. We will only accept the tuition that students pay directly to UA.

Tuition for Fall 2025 courses is $270 per unit. Starting in Spring 2026, tuition will be $525 per unit.

After the first 7 days of the semester have passed, you will receive a tuition invoice. You have 30 days to make your payment.

Every single UA student—including students who were in the dual degree program with OUC and every other student, whether they are in the US or elsewhere—receives their UA degree once they have met all graduation requirements. UA cannot withhold a degree if a student has fulfilled all graduation requirements and has paid all tuition.

Remember, as an OUC student, UA needs to accept some of your OUC courses for transfer credit. With that in mind, you will need to satisfactorily complete both the OUC and UA courses that will count towards your UA degree. If you have questions about requirements, consult your student handbook and/or ask your academic advisors specific questions you may have.

Email law-globallaw@arizona.edu and let your academic advisors know. We will assist you to ensure you are able to retake a needed course to graduate. When retaking a course with the UA, the system will automatically recognize it is a GRO and will replace the first attempted grade with whatever is earned on the second attempt. Also, be aware that you will be required to pay tuition on repeated units.

Yes! Students will still need to complete the writing requirements by passing the English I & II courses. Additional requirements are still required based on the grades students receive in these English courses. If you are unsure if you have met these requirements or need clarification, please reach out to law-globallaw@ariozna.edu for clarification from your academic advisors.

Email law-globallaw@arizona.edu and let your academic advisors know. Also, be aware that you have 7 days from the start of classes on October 16th to drop a course without being billed for tuition. If you drop a course after the 7-day timeframe, you will be responsible for paying full tuition for the course.

No, all degrees from the UA will be the same regardless of courses being completed online or in-person.  Neither your diploma nor your official transcript will specify online or in-person. All UA students, regardless of location or modality, receive the same diploma.

Email law-globallaw@arizona.edu, and let your advisors know. If there is an enrollment issue, your advisors can resolve the problem. If it is a technical issue, your advisors will direct you to law-disted@arizona.edu to resolve the issue.

UA generally does not have dorms available for students who spend only a fall semester here. If you study here for a year (fall and spring semester), dorms are available. You can submit a dorm request for the Spring semester if you decide to only study in the Spring semester.

HOWEVER, we did have some fall-only students get dorm assignments this past year. So, while the trend is no dorm availability for fall semester only, there are exceptions.

Our recommendation is to plan as far in advance as possible so that you can submit your dorm request. There is not a formal application deadline. Instead, dorms are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Before you can submit your application for a dorm, you will have to start the process for your visa. You do not need to have your visa approved before you submit your dorm request, but you should have your I-20 ready.

You can read more about housing here: https://housing.arizona.edu/. Our colleagues in Arizona International will hold a webinar sometime in November to provide information related to dorms. We will be sure to send that date/time to all students once we have it.

Yes, this can be an option as long as students meet their English language requirements and take the appropriate number of course while in Tucson. If you are interested in exploring options not presented in the Pathway Plan you received, contact your academic advisor. We will work with you!
