Andrea Richardson

Andrea Richardson is the Assistant Director of the University of Arizona Innocence Project. She was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. 

Andrea was formerly the Senior Legal Researcher for Investigations at the Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley School of Law. She has worked on numerous investigations for organizations including the United Nations, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the Wall Street Journal. 

Along with her work specializing in investigations, Andrea has criminal law experience as a former Assistant Public Defender. In that capacity, she represented individuals charged with felonies in Pima County, Arizona. 

Andrea holds a bachelor's degree from Brown University, a master's degree from the University of London, and a J.D. with Pro Bono Honors from UC Berkeley School of Law.
