Gavin J. Milczarek-Desai

Gavin Milczarek-Desai is an Associate Clinical Professor of Law and the Executive Director of the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic. Prior to joining the faculty at the James E. Rogers College of Law in late 2019, Gavin’s 20-year career in private practice focused on representation of clients in patent and trademark matters covering a wide variety of products and technologies, ranging from biomedical applications to agrichemicals to mechanical innovations. Gavin earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona at the Arizona Cancer Center and has extensive technical knowledge of complex chemical, molecular and genetic technologies used in research, clinical, and agricultural applications.  His legal research interest is focused on information that patents and pending applications convey to consumers.
