Ruby Barickman

Ruby Barickman is Founder and CEO of Magis Development, an energy strategy and advisory firm focused on the mining industry. Previously, she was Business Development Manager at Sweetwater Royalties, a mining & renewable energy royalty company and portfolio company of Orion Resource Partners and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. She helped build Sweetwater's renewable energy platform from infancy to over 235,000 acres under exclusivity for renewable energy development. Prior to joining Sweetwater, Ruby was an Investment Associate for Orion, a mining-focused private equity fund with $8B under management. She has held various positions in strategic and mine planning, design, scheduling, and Reserves reporting at the Grasberg Mine in Indonesia with Freeport-McMoRan and with Lundin Mining and Rio Tinto in the United States. Ruby holds a B.S. in Mining Engineering (Cum Laude) and an M. Eng. in Mineral Resource Engineering from the University of Arizona, as well as a M.S. in Finance from Georgetown University. She is a licensed Professional Engineer.
