Professor Terrell Hunsinger, Jr. holds an Associate Degree (A.A.) in Philosophy from Arizona Western College (2004), a dual Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University (Summa Cum Laude, 2004), a Juris Doctorate from Phoenix School of Law (2011), and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy (IPLP) Program (2024). He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) program at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law IPLP Program.

Research Focus
Professor Hunsinger's S.J.D. dissertation will examine the effects of implicit divestiture of recent Supreme Court rulings in Federal Indian Law and their impact on the previous concepts of Congressional Plenary Power and Inherent Tribal Sovereignty.

Personal Background
Professor Hunsinger is from Yuma, AZ, where he has spent the past two and a half decades performing social work in multiple capacities for adolescents in the justice system. Since 2000, he has dedicated his free time to coaching wrestling for at-risk youth. Fun fact: he has given wrestling seminars on five continents.
