(1) Covid-19 & Law Coalition; (2) LawCat Collaborative

May 16, 2020

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Inspired by the work on COVID-19-related issues by many of our faculty -- and the demand for Covid-19 knowledge and insights from the university, our communities, and the world -- Arizona Law has created the COVID-19 & Law Coalition.

The COVID-19 & Law Coalition is made up of faculty and staff collaborating across different areas of expertise to provide relevant and timely information to our varied and diverse communities.

The Coalition Working Groups collaborate across traditional boundaries on issues ranging from public health to privacy to immigration to Access2Justice initiatives.  You can learn about the work of the COVID-19 & Law Coalition on our website: https://law.arizona.edu/news/2020/04/university-arizona-law-experts-weigh-covid-19-news.

Additionally, we are constantly updating our COVID-19 & Law Guide with current activities of Coalition members, and with relevant information to support the work of the Coalition.

Simultaneously, we are launching a virtual suggestion box called the LawCat Collaborative

We encourage members of the community to write to us at LawCatCollaborative@arizona.edu with questions, comments, and ideas not only about COVID-19 & Law, but also about broader College of Law activities and operations.  Whether you have ideas about returning to campus safely this fall or a software license to boost team productivity or how to engage the alumni in new ways, we want to hear it.

Colleagues in the Law Library are moderating the LawCat Collaborative inbox and will direct your message to the appropriate Coalition working group, administrator, or to my office.

Although inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic, we view the LawCat Collaborative as a long-term means to increase collaboration and communication across our community on any and every aspect of our operations.  No suggestion is too small or too radical.

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!

Marc
