Constitution Day
Event: Supreme Court Review of Executive Powers Cases with Judge Hurwitz
When: Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, 3:30–5:15 p.m.
Where: University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, 1201 E. Speedway Blvd., Room 168 & Zoom
This annual public program will review the major United States Supreme Court’s decisions from last Term that address executive powers. Presidential actions regarding birthright citizenship, tariffs and removal will headline the discussion. The panel will be Judge Andrew Hurwitz of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Law Shalev Roisman and will be moderated by Dean Emerita Toni Massaro.
Legal Paraprofessional Summit
Event: Fourth Annual Legal Paraprofessional Summit
When: Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Where: University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, 1201 E. Speedway Blvd., Room 164 and online
Arizona Law will host the Fourth Annual Legal Paraprofessional Summit, on campus and virtually. Hear from judges, including keynote speaker Arizona Supreme Court Justice Maria Elena Cruz, experienced legal paraprofessionals, attorneys and more.

Homecoming 2026
Event: Arizona Law’s Red & Blue BBQ
When: Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, Time TBD
Where: University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, 1201 E. Speedway Blvd., Snell & Wilmer Courtyard
Join alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends for Arizona Law’s annual Red & Blue Homecoming BBQ. Enjoy great food, Wildcat spirit, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Tickets are $20 per person and include a burger meal with chips and a soda, one alcoholic drink ticket for guests 21+, and an Arizona Law Homecoming T-shirt. Children under 5 attend free.
Neumann Lecture
Event: Neumann Lecture: Butch Farrabee

The Peter Chase Neumann Lecture on Civil Justice is part of Arizona Law’s Civil Justice Initiative, which seeks to elevate the American civil justice system and train the next generation of great trial lawyers.
The lecture series began in 2013, with past speakers including Patrick J. McGroder, Richard Fried and Randi McGinn. University of Arizona Law alumnus Peter Chase Neumann (’64) endowed the lecture in 2016.
Arizona Supreme Court Visit
Event: Arizona Supreme Court oral arguments
When: Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2026, Time TBD
Where: University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, 1201 E. Speedway Blvd., Room 168
As part of its ongoing public education effort, the Arizona Supreme Court will hold oral arguments during its annual visit to University of Arizona Law.
The justices have identified two cases to be presented, and attorneys representing each side will be given 20 minutes to present their arguments. After the second case, the justices will take questions from the audience, as long as those questions do not pertain to the case or cases they just heard.
