Bar Exam Eligibility
If you intend to sit for the bar exam in the U.S., be sure to review the requirements for that particular state. Many states limit bar exam eligibility to those individuals who have a U.S. JD degree; some states include eligibility for LLM graduates, but have additional requirements, including specific coursework and residency requirements. Bar admission in all U.S. states involves consideration of a bar applicant's character and moral fitness for the practice of law. You should review the bar admission requirements of the states in which you intend to practice. The American Bar Association offers various resources on bar admission.
